Turf Treatment – Don’t Let Fungus Ruin Your Yard

Kohler Lawn offers turf treatment for all types of lawn ailments, including fungus. Fungus grows when environmental conditions are just right. For example, prolonged periods of wet, hot, and humid weather, such as over the past few weeks here in Pleasant Hill, Jackson, and Cass County, Missouri, cause fungi to send up fruiting structures.

If you have noticed fungus in your yard, it’s important to understand that some fungi benefit the ecosystem, while others can harm plants or pose a health risk. With specific information about the type of fungus you’re encountering, it’s easier to provide a precise diagnosis or recommended action. You want to identify the fungus, determine if it’s problematic, remove or manage it, and prevent future outbreaks. This is where Kohler Lawn & Outdoor can help you. We offer various turf treatments, including fungicides.

If you are part of our lawn maintenance program, your lawn can receive turf treatments targeted towards fungi or other diseases such as brown patches, dollar spots, and rust grass.

·  Optional Fungi | Late May – June. Fungicide treatment is applied to prevent and cure diseases such as brown patch.
·  Optional Lime | Early Spring or Fall. Lime is applied to balance the soil nutrients and break up hard, compact soil. The timing of fungicide is critical, and, in some cases, a third application is necessary to keep the turf in premium condition. Fungicide treatment and Lime treatment are more and an additional expense over and above your regular treatments.
·  Fungus Treatment. Don’t let fungus ruin your yard! If you notice something fungus-like in your yard, call us to help you assess it and treat it if needed! Unfortunately, fungus treatment is only available to full-program turf treatment customers.
